The KJRFA1 Series Laser Distance Sensor is a ruggedized, high-precision measurement solution designed for challenging industrial and outdoor applications. It stands out with its exceptional IP68 protection rating, allowing it to withstand complete submersion in water up to 5 meters depth, ensuring durability in sewers, dams, and outdoor sites exposed to heavy rain or flooding.
While many laser sensors struggle with low-reflectivity surfaces, the RFA1 is specifically tuned to measure black and dark targets, including coal piles, ash, and viscous black fluids, making it a perfect choice for level monitoring in the mining and energy sectors. The sensor utilizes a long-life, eye-safe visible red laser (>50,000 hours) and provides a measuring range of up to 100 meters.
Designed for quasi-static or slow-moving targets (<2m/s), the RFA1 offers a response time of 100ms. It supports a wide operating voltage (9-32VDC) and comes with a comprehensive array of communication interfaces—from RS485/Modbus for industrial networks to 4-20mA for process control systems—making it one of the most versatile sensors in its class.
